On a flight home from a Starseed Adventure, I met a traveler nearing that milestone, a glimpse into the sky‑life rhythm where airports become familiar terrain and organization becomes its own form of success.

I was flying home from a Starseed Adventure, settling into my seat with that familiar post‑travel quiet, when the woman next to me noticed my carry‑on. It’s a solid‑state bag — durable, dependable, but everything sinks to the bottom. She asked if I liked it, and I told her the truth: it’s a deep dig every time. She laughed because she had owned the same bag and recently replaced it for exactly that reason. Her neatly tucked Tumi sat under the seat like a small, organized universe. Every item had a compartment. Everything was accessible. It was the kind of bag that said, I know where I’m going, and I know how fast I need to get there.
Afterward, she shared that she was a rep, flying in and out of cities every week. Not occasionally — weekly. The kind of schedule where airports become familiar landmarks and you learn which regional jet seat has the best airflow. And yes, airflow is a thing — some seats blast you like a tiny arctic jet stream, others feel like you’re breathing recycled soup. Frequent flyers know. She was about to reach the one‑million‑mile mark on United Airlines.
